Four-Day Academics
Forging Education works with educational and community partners to support academic opportunities for homeschool families across multiple campuses. Each location offers structured instruction in core subject areas—including math, science, English, and history—alongside additional enrichment opportunities designed to encourage creativity, character development, and critical thinking.
Program offerings and schedules may vary by campus and may include both publicly supported educational services and separately administered community-supported opportunities.
4-Day Academic Campus Options
Forging Education supports a network of local academic communities that host 4-Day Academics and other educational opportunities for homeschool families. Depending on location, campuses may offer publicly supported enrichment programming through Enrich Colorado, optional community-supported opportunities through Heritage, and additional locally coordinated educational experiences.
Current campus locations include Veritas (Pueblo West, K–6), Agape (Pueblo, K–6), Cornerstone (Westcliffe, K–5), Family Worship Center Academy (Pueblo, 6–12), and Mt. Carmel (Trinidad, K–12).
Class Subjects
Mathematics
Students participating in 4-Day Academics develop strong, grade-level math skills designed to support long-term academic growth and homeschool success. Instruction emphasizes clear progression, ongoing practice, and meaningful application to help students build understanding, strengthen problem-solving abilities, and confidence.
Reading & Writing
Students participating in 4-Day Academics develop strong reading, writing, and communication skills appropriate to their grade level. Instruction emphasizes thoughtful reading, clear expression, and meaningful application to help students grow as confident communicators and engaged learners over time.
Social Studies
Students participating in 4-Day Academics explore history, geography, civics, and related studies while building a deeper understanding of communities, cultures, and the world around them. Instruction emphasizes thoughtful discussion, reading comprehension, and application to help students develop critical thinking, and a sense of purpose.
Science
Students participating in 4-Day Academics explore scientific concepts through observation, inquiry, discussion, and hands-on learning experiences. Instruction emphasizes curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful application to help students better understand the natural world and develop confidence in scientific exploration over time.
Worldview
Students participating in 4-Day Academics are encouraged to explore questions of faith, truth, and worldview while developing confidence in understanding and articulating their beliefs. Instruction emphasizes thoughtful discussion, biblical literacy, and meaningful application to help students build a strong foundation for lifelong learning and personal conviction.
Additional Subjects
Students participating in 4-Day Academics engage in a variety of educational experiences that support creativity, movement, and personal growth alongside core academics. Opportunities may include visual arts, music, wellness, and other hands-on activities designed to encourage exploration, expression, and well-rounded development.
Our Philosophy of Education
Forging Education seeks to support homeschool families by creating environments that encourage academic growth, character development, and meaningful learning experiences. We believe education should help students grow as whole people by cultivating curiosity, responsibility, wisdom, and strong relationships within their families and communities.
Many educational opportunities offered through our community partnerships are informed by a Christian worldview and reflect the belief that every person is created with purpose and value. Inspired by Luke 2:52, we encourage students to grow in wisdom, maturity, and service to others while developing the knowledge and character needed to engage thoughtfully with the world around them.
Publicly Funded Enrichment Courses
Homeschool families may have access to publicly supported enrichment opportunities through participating educational partners and approved authorizers. These academic offerings are designed to complement home education through structured instruction and may vary by campus and student eligibility.
Elementary students (K–5) may participate in core academic of math and ELA enrichment opportunities designed to strengthen foundational skills.
Middle school students may access enrichment opportunities focused on English Language Arts and Mathematics.
High school students may access approved enrichment opportunities focused on Mathematics, Technology, and Career Preparation.
Students participating in publicly funded enrichment opportunities must meet applicable eligibility requirements and may not participate in multiple publicly funded educational programs simultaneously. Students enrolled in publicly funded programs also may not enroll in a private tuition or fee based program at the same location. Private pay options are not available for publicly funded programs.
Optional Community-Supported Opportunities
Many campuses also offer optional educational and community opportunities designed through Heritage Education Alliance and operated by Forging Education. These programs are intended to support homeschool families through additional academic, enrichment, and community experiences that may vary by campus and grade level.
These opportunities are made possible through community support and voluntary donations and are provided at no cost to participating families. Participation in community-supported opportunities is separate from participation in publicly funded enrichment programs and is not required to access publicly supported educational services.
